Cancelling Home Delivered Meals

Cancelling Home Delivered Meal Delivery
During Poor Weather Conditions or Other Emergencies

In case of snow or stormy weather it may be necessary for SeniorCare to cancel the delivery of home delivered meals.
SeniorCare will send an automated call (Robo-Call) to let meal recipients know of cancellations.

After 7:00am, meal recipients or caregivers can call 978-865-3560 to hear a recording if we are not delivering.
After 9:00am, meal recipients or caregivers can call the SeniorCare office at 978-281-1750.

Emergency Food Supplies – Planning Ahead

Be ready for bad weather. We suggest everyone always have enough food in the house to last for a few days in case of an emergency when we cannot deliver, or you may not be able to get food, water, or electricity for several days. Take steps to stock up on long lasting foods that are ready-to-eat and will not spoil.

Gather Emergency Food Supplies
• Put together a 3-day supply of food and water per family, including pets.
• Choose foods that last a long time and don’t need refrigeration.
• Choose foods that are not salty or spicy -these increase the need for drinking water.
• Have a manual can opener and disposable utensils.
