FreeDementia & Alzheimer’s: Signs, Prevention & Resources: A Panel Discussion for Workforce and Community”
at The Current Beverly, 1 Essex Street in Beverly
Friday, November 15, 2024, 8:30 am – 10:00 am
Almost 7 million Americans 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s and an estimated 500,000 new cases will be diagnosed. With a huge baby boomer population, it’s inevitable that more and more of our workforce will be diagnosed or need to care for family etc. Workforce absenteeism, loss of productivity and replacement cost of caregivers leaving their employers cost U.S. businesses over $30 billion.
The GBCC Health and Wellness Committee has organized a panel of local experts to touch on the personal struggle, the medical prevention and treatments, the workplace options for employer and employee, and the local resources available. This event is open to the community because the information presented will serve as an invaluable resource.
