Will You Support SeniorCare’s Underfunded Programs

donate today links to donation pageWith so much uncertainty throughout the world right now, it’s sometimes hard to see all the good happening around us in our local communities. This year has brought many challenges to our staff and our consumers. However, your unwavering commitment to SeniorCare’s mission has genuinely impacted the one goal we all share – helping our older community to live comfortably, independently, and with dignity.

What gives me hope is seeing how people like you have been so generous and caring. Thanks to your ongoing support, we served 192,000 meals through our Meals on Wheels Program and provided 39,614 service hours to our older adult community in 2023. Despite fewer resources this year, I am proud of our dedicated staff and volunteers, who have worked tirelessly to ensure they provide the best possible home care, caregiver, and protective services support to our consumers.

Although some of our core programs are partially supported by Federal and State funding, other equally critical programs rely wholly or in part upon donations from generous supporters like you. These services include our STAY Pet Program, which provided 1,192 hours of pet care services in 2023 (In-home pet care during hospital and rehab stays, help with pet nutrition, transportation to veterinary visits, and financial assistance to support pet ownership) and our Medical Transportation Program, which provided 747 roundtrip rides to consumers for scheduled medical appointments. Other underfunded programs include our Friendly Caller Program, which made over 700 calls to isolated seniors last year, and our Money Management Program, which helped educate our consumers to recognize fraud and scam tactics and helped them with personal household finances.

Will you consider a gift today to help support SeniorCare’s Medical Transportation, STAY Pet Services, Money Management, and Friendly Caller Programs?

You have my commitment that your donation will be directed to the programs with the greatest need. What better way to end the year than knowing you will positively impact the life of an older adult in your community for the better? Thank you for your donations and continued support!

On behalf of our Board of Directors and everyone here at SeniorCare, we wish you and your family a safe and joyous holiday season.

Sincerely,

Scott Trenti
